In the last 18 years, more than 150 women in our community with no health insurance were diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, thanks to Project Mammogram.
Just as important, more than 10,000 Lake Houston residents without insurance have the gift of “peace of mind” because they know they don’t have breast cancer, thanks to the screening and diagnostic mammograms they received through Project Mammogram.
With numbers like those, we had to say yes to co-chairing the Northeast Hospital Foundation’s 2019 “In the Pink of Health” happenings scheduled for September and October. And now we’re asking you to join us.
Our 2nd Play for the Pink Golf Tournament is set for September 20 at Oakhurst Golf Club. The 12th Annual In the Pink of Health Luncheon will be held at the Houston Marriott Hotel on October 18. We’ll cap the festivities with what has become the annual Pink Out Football Game between Summer Creek and Atascocita high schools on October 25.
Each of these special events benefits Project Mammogram, a community program sponsored by the Northeast Hospital Foundation and Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, offering free mammograms and breast ultrasounds to qualifying women and men without insurance. Our “In the Pink of Health” events help bridge the gaps in funding so we can continue to provide Project Mammogram to Lake Houston.
Every dime you donate stays right here in Lake Houston. That means, together, we can continue to provide “peace of mind” for so many uninsured and vulnerable fellow residents.
Say yes! Join us for golf, for a terrific lunch and inspiring speaker, or for a fun high school football game – or all three.
We can do so much more for our community – when we do it in “Pink.”
